Arts Enrichment: Arts Enrichment is a 2-hour weekly program specially designed for 3 to 5 year olds that combines visual art, music and movement. Each week, young artists explore themes and concepts while developing essential language, social, cognitive, and fine and gross motor skills through creative and interactive expression. Each class includes a supervised snack time. Special discount will be given for registering in two or more Arts Enrichment classes. ArtSpark: ArtSpark is a 75-minute weekly program specially designed for 2 to 3 year olds that combines visual art, movement and music. Each week, young artists explore themes and concepts while developing essential language, social, cognitive, and fine and gross motor skills through creative and interactive expression. Each class includes a 15 minute snack time (snack not included). Parent participation is required. Co-Instructors: Monday - Tami Cline (Art) & TBD (Music & Movement-Mon); Saturday - Clarissa Argueta (Art) & Tiffany Chan (Music & Movement)


Discover Ukulele: Combo: In this year-long 40 minute class, students will participate in a combination of 20 minute group lesson and 20 minute private lesson which provides optimal skill progression. Students will learn how to play melodies and chords while developing note reading skills. As students progress, they will learn intermediate chords, melodies and strum patterns along with basic music theory. Students with previous ukulele experience will learn advanced techniques and songs, including solo skills and improvisation. The fee for this class includes a lesson book. Each student will need to purchase their own ukulele (KALA Ukulele is recommended and can be purchased from Massullo Music or Long and McQuade). This class will perform in the Year End Showcase in June. Instructors: Elizabeth Yang


Ukulele Private Lessons: In these 30-minute private lessons, students gain confidence and skills at their own pace with individualized attention of the instructor. Learn to play melodies and chords while developing note reading skills. As students progress, they will learn intermediate chords, melodies and strum patterns along with basic music theory. Musical Theatre: In this year-long course (September to June, 32 classes), students will sing, dance and act to tunes from popular musicals. Inspire the performer in you through improvisation activities, voice and musical training, and movement and choregraphy, and theatre and musical games. Ensemble and solo work build cooperation and confidence for performance. This class will perform in the Year End Showcase. Instructor: Julie Casselman


SHINE Singing Ensemble: Are you bursting with song and want your voice to SHINE? In this extended term program (January to June, 20 classes), young voices will create music together through group singing and performing. Participants will sing songs from a variety of genres, including favourite pop songs, arranged specifically to suit their voices and abilities. This voice training ensemble provides high quality music education and performance opportunities while teaching music basics such as theory, harmonizing, rhythm and sight-singing techniques. No musical experience necessary. The ensemble will record several music videos and will perform in the Year End Showcase. Instructor: Samantha Dowdell


Singing & Songwriting: Young musicians with a passion for singing and songwriting will enjoy this extended term program (January to June, 20 classes). This course gives singer/songwriters a guided journey through covering songs they love and writing songs themselves. They will be provided instrument lessons in piano, guitar, or ukulele to accompany themselves, and will be taught the mechanics of songwriting. No musical experience necessary. Musicians will record a music video and perform in the Year End Showcase. Instructor: Samantha Dowdell
